MARIETTA, GA (March 30, 2018) — The Marietta Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce its recent hire Amanda Blowers-Sutter, who will join the team as Executive Director.

Sutter is no stranger to Marietta. Sutter worked as an Economic Development Project Manager for the City of Marietta with her focus as a liaison between the Marietta Square business district and the city. During the tenure, she became very familiar with Marietta’s city leaders, business community and tourism assets.

“I am thrilled to become a part of the MVB and be back in Marietta again,” said Sutter. “Marietta has always been a competitive visitor destination for the Metro Atlanta area and I am ready to be part of the team that continues to move this community forward while growing our visitor industry.”

Sutter comes to the MVB with a diverse background of 15 years of experience in economic development, government relations, hospitality, and tourism. From 2007- 2012, she served as the Director of the City of Acworth’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, Downtown Development Authority and Historic Preservation Commission for over five years.

During her tenure with Acworth, Sutter earned her Travel Marketing Professional designation from the Southeast Tourism Society and was pivotal in the initiation of the inaugural Acworth Art Fest.

“I am excited to have Amanda in place here at the MVB,” said Interim Executive Director Theresa Jenkins. “The experience she brings will elevate our tourism and marketing efforts in Marietta.”

Amanda has also worked as a Development Coordinator for two real estate investment firms, Walton Development & Management and Landeavor, LLC.. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University.
